From your list to one choice

  1. 1. Add your entries

Paste one name or option per line. Check the participating list before you spin.

  2. 2. Spin to choose

Every entry has the same chance. The pointer and result refer to the same selection.

  3. 3. Keep or remove it

Copy the result, spin again, or remove the selected entry before the next turn.

A quick example: choose the next team

Enter North team, East team and West team on separate lines. Each starts with a one-in-three chance. If East team is selected and you remove it, North and West each have a one-in-two chance on the next spin. Keeping the selection in the list allows it to be selected again. These are examples of probabilities, not promised outcomes.

You can use the same process for discussion topics, a reading order or deciding which task to do first. To distinguish two people with the same name, add a clear label such as Alex A and Alex B. The tool does not accept identical entries as hidden extra chances.

Before you spin

What can I put in the wheel?

Use 2–100 different entries, each up to 80 Unicode characters. The full raw list can contain at most 10,000 characters. Empty lines are ignored; line endings are standardized, tabs become spaces, and leading and trailing whitespace is removed. Text is normalized to NFC before checking duplicates. Internal spaces and letter case are otherwise preserved. Other control characters are rejected. The full participating list remains readable even when the wheel shows shortened labels or entry numbers.

Does every entry have the same chance?

Yes. The tool uses your browser's cryptographic random source and discards values that would introduce modulo bias. It chooses an entry before animating the wheel. Stopping or reducing the animation does not change the selection. This is a browser decision aid, not a certified draw system, and it does not provide a public audit or a guarantee that a particular entry will win.

How do I prevent repeats?

After a spin, choose Remove selected entry. This changes the list and clears the old result. Nothing is removed automatically. With fewer than two entries left, add another entry before spinning. If you keep the full list, each new spin can select any of its entries again.

Can I cancel or turn the animation off?

Yes. Cancel ends an active spin without publishing a result. Hiding the page or navigating away also cancels it; returning does not complete the old spin. Uncheck Animate the spin for an immediate result. Your device's reduced-motion preference also removes the animation.

Does the list get saved or uploaded?

No. Entries and selections remain in this page's memory. Reloading or leaving clears them. No entry or result is attached to analytics, a feedback request or a shareable link. Copying is an explicit action and may use your system clipboard. Feedback sends only what you choose to submit separately.

Why couldn't my browser spin or copy?

A secure random source is required: if the browser cannot provide one, the tool reports failure instead of falling back to a predictable choice. Clipboard access can also be denied; the result stays visible so you can select and copy it yourself. Mobile layout is supported, but individual devices and system clipboard behavior have not all been tested.
